US - Ufficio Stampa Cinematografico was founded in 2008 by Alessandro Russo to handle press office work and communications for film, television and entertainment in Italy.

Operating without interruption since 2008, US - Ufficio Stampa is one of the most established independent film press offices in Italy: 236 films handled and 41 distributors and producers — from Warner Bros. Pictures to Medusa Film, Rai Cinema, Lucky Red, BIM Distribuzione, Vision Distribution and Movies Inspired — including press campaigns for titles awarded at Cannes, Venice and Berlin.

We work with Italian and international distributors and producers, on popular crowd-pleasers and on auteur cinema, handling press communications from the first announcement through to the theatrical release.

Born in Rome in 1967 and a law graduate of La Sapienza University, Alessandro Russo has been a member of the Rome Association of Journalists since 2004. Before founding US - Ufficio Stampa in 2008 he worked in the press office team at Cecchi Gori Group and then, from 2002 to 2007, as a partner in the long-established Studio Lucherini Pignatelli (which became Lucherini-Pignatelli-Russo), handling some 250 films in five years at the Venice, Cannes and Berlin festivals. Over his career he has worked on roughly 500 to 600 titles, among them Sofia Coppola's Somewhere and Kim Ki-duk's Pietà — both Golden Lion winners in Venice — Paul Greengrass's Green Zone, Denis Villeneuve's Incendies and Wash Westmoreland's Still Alice. He has also served as international press consultant for the Rome Film Festival and as a guest lecturer at LUISS and at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.

Recent titles handled by the agency include several festival prizewinners: Black Dog (Un Certain Regard Prize, Cannes 2024), Armand (Caméra d'Or, Cannes 2024), Holy Cow (Un Certain Regard Youth Prize and two César awards, 2024), Agnieszka Holland's Green Border (Special Jury Prize, Venice 2023) and La Tour de Glace (Silver Bear, Berlinale 2025).
